This result discovered by the MediHerb scientists was published at Journal of Agricultural Chemistry and Food Science 2006: 54: 7378-82 and this led to health regulators around the world to accept HPLC analysis as a new standard method of  bilberry extracts.

As shown, a poor quality bilberry product (other brand) has unexpected peaks of adulterated amaranth synthetic dye but both products look like natural bilberry extracts to human eyes.
